fonts-sawarabi-gothic software package provides gothic font for Japanese, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-sawarabi-gothic
fonts-sawarabi-gothic is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-sawarabi-gothic package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-sawarabi-gothic *
You will get with fonts-sawarabi-gothic package name, version, architecture and description in a table
